Monstera deliciosa (Large Form) Albo Rooted Cutting

This is a rooted Large Form Monstera deliciosa Albo cutting with an active growth point that is currently unfurling its first variegated leaf! Based on my experience, I expect the second leaf to be significantly larger.

Large Form Albos are significantly rarer than the more commonly available Small Form (often referred to as Borsigiana). They are distinguished by their unique growth habit, tending to creep rather than climb like the small form. Their leaves also grow considerably larger, have a rounder shape, and typically develop fenestrations much earlier as the plant matures.

Half-moon (sectoral) variegation is especially rare and more challenging to propagate because the axillary bud must be positioned right between the green and white portions of the stem in order for the variegation to continue on. Many axillary buds are located entirely on either the green or white tissue, resulting in non-variegated or unstable growth. For this reason, I waited until the first leaf began forming so I could confirm that it would have balanced variegation.

The mother plant has consistently produced stunning half-moon leaves, making this an exceptionally promising and valuable cutting for serious collectors.
